Here is a picture of Kayla in her Easter dress and her basket. She is adorable. And of course, she wanted to do some funny faces.
Kayla was pretty excited to look for her basket and find some plastic eggs filled with candy. The Easter bunny was good this year to not do too much candy. We explained to Kayla that the Easter bunny is Heavenly Father’s helper, because the Easter bunny gives us presents and gifts to remind us of the gift the Savior has given us through the Resurrection and Atonement. She got a lot of fun things and toys in her basket, but we have early church, so we got in our Easter clothes and braved the snow! The weather was weird. We woke up and it was cold and snowing! On Easter? I forget sometimes I’m back in Colorado. We went to church and it was of course wonderful. On the way out Kayla had to be carried out, she wasn’t wearing snow boots.
When we got home from church Kayla was watching the huge fluffy snowflakes and informed us she wanted to catch them on her tongue. She pulled on her snow boots and coat and went outside for a little bit. It was pretty cute.

I had told Dave that I would be making dinner. We decided on roast, so he did help a bit, by putting it in the crock pot for me, but I did the rest and made all the fixings and Dave finally got a break from kitchen duty. We spent the rest of the day relaxing and playing with Kayla’s toys. It was so nice.
