Kathy's Birthday!

Kathy's birthday is exactly 3 weeks after Dave's (plus a few years...) so we both had ours on a Friday this year.  We had a fun time with friends and kept it low-key like Dave's.  We had cake and ice cream.  Unfortunately, Dave ordered a special cake with the frosting that Kathy loves but when he went to pick it up (with his receipt) the store couldn't find it.  Apparently the cake lady lost the note or something.  So, the store manager offered a 50% discount on any other cake and they'd personalize while he waited.  It ended up ok but Dave was pretty disappointed.  (But it was fine and it WAS frosting she liked, Kathy loved it!!!-Note added by Kathy)  Dave also as he was bringing out the cake pretended to slip and drop the cake on Kathy, and then he for real slipped a little and almost dropped the cake all over her!  He caught it before it fell off the plate and it was ok. :)

Kathy had a great time and worked hard to let Dave try to take good care of her. :)  It was a great day!
