Christmas Parties

Our ward Christmas party was pretty fun. People signed up to bring sides and dessert and they served brisket and ham, YUM! The program was really cute. They had a projector that went through slides of pictures while people sang. The songs done were all different, hymns, contemporary, even country. It turned out really nice.

Dave's work party was pretty fun. We signed up to have babysitting, so Kayla was right next door to us. She had a lot of fun, and it was nice to be able to peek in on her. We had a really yummy dinner of salad, bread, prime rib, veggies, potatoes, and a decadent chocolate layered cheesecake. (At our table Dave and I were the only ones not drinking alcohol or coffee.) I got to met some new people Dave works with at our table. There was a slide show of the past year and music. There was a scavenger hunt too with one person from each table. It was hilarious to watch them all scramble to get random items, it did get a little physical. The last two guys had to find a roll of toilet paper and we laughed imaging what that looked like in the hallway at the Officers Club to those who didn't know what was going on! There were drawings throughout the night and near the beginning I got picked and won a gift card for Chili's! So we were pretty excited about that, especially that I didn't get picked for the liquor carousel racks or wine! =)

There were two prizes we were really hoping to get, a GPS system and a Wii. There was a limbo competition for the GPS and Dave entered with about 30 some other people. I wish I had brought my camera! Everyone from his work was flabbergasted that he got so far. He ended up 5th! He was great, and honest too, because when he went under he bent all the way backward and then under, instead of going under and then turning his head under. The girl who ended up winning was actually pregnant, and it was even amazing she got under at all! The Wii was of course held to the very end, and ended up going to a guy at our table, which was pretty cool. Most at our table ended up with a prize. We skipped the dancing because it was late and got Kayla in the next room. She had a lot of fun. They told us she had heard the music and was showing them her "six step", or dancing. =)
