A day at the park

Colorado had no snow! We were hoping a little bit, that it would snow, so we could go sledding or build a snowman or something. So since the weather was so nice, we went to the park a few times. One of those times we met everyone at the park.

It was a pretty momentous day. I found out my mom had never flown a kite before! Jacob brought his kite, and was nice to let Kayla, and Grandma Carol fly it. Here's my mom, flying her very first kite!
Kayla really enjoyed playing on the playgroud, kicking a ball around, running, and climbing a "rock climbing" rock. I had to watch her though, she likes to be independent and would just start climbing all by herself. She is a little monkey, just like her daddy. =)

Dave and Phillip threw around the frisbee a lot and Kayla wanted to play. She surprised me by being able to catch and throwa frisbee. She held her own throwing and catching with Uncle Phillip and Dave. Good job Kayla! Here's a shot of Kayla throwing a frisbee.

My mom also surprised me by drop kicking a ball (several times), quite a distance, to Phillip and Dave. I don’t recall ever seeing her drop kick a ball. She was awesome! She said she was a kickball kicker when she was in elementary school and they would back up when she kicked. I believe it! Here is a video of her.
